The family of Cirepil®
Waxes represents the finest in professional waxing. Cirepil®
Waxes are easy to use and allow for efficient and economical
waxing. The four waxes allow the esthetician/wax specialist
to make a more specialized analysis of the clients’ hair and
skin, guaranteeing a more satisfying wax service. All of the
Cirepil® Waxes heat at
a low temperature, are less sticky and contain anti-irritants.
As a result, the client enjoys a more comfortable waxing experience,

Product Features:
Strip (Soft) Waxes
- Cirepil®
Ease: The original Cirepil®
creamy strip wax is an easy to use, full body wax for fine to
medium hair. This wax is removed with Non-Woven or Cellophane
strips and may be used over any area of the body. Cirepil®
Ease is fast, efficient and economical for large areas on the
body such as arms, legs, chests and backs.
- Cirepil®
Forte: The newest strip wax for hard to remove, resistant
medium to coarse hair. This wax is removed with Non-Woven strips
and may be used on any area of the body. It is especially
economical for large areas of the body such as legs, arms, chests
and backs.
No-Strip (Hard) Waxes
- Cirepil®
Blue: Advanced scientific technology utilizing a polymer
in no-strip style to help “shrink wrap” the hair with little
or no effect to the skin. May be used over the whole body,
but is more practical for use on eyebrows, lips, necklines,
bikini and underarm areas. Perfect choice for sensitive skin
with resistant hair.
- Cirepil®
Elva Rose: The new generation no-strip wax derived
from the combination of polymerization of the blue wax with
the creaminess of Cirepil’s traditional pink wax. This wax
works particularly well in sensitive areas with fine to medium
hair such as underarms, bikini and face. Cirepil®
Elva Rose is the choice for removing short, coarse hairs, particularly
in the underarm and chin areas.
Temperature Guide for Approximate Temperatures:
All Cirepil®
Waxes heat until creamy and are maintained by turning the temperature
control to accommodate climatic changes in the wax room. The
waxes should never be allowed to get lower than halfway in the
tin, to keep a more even and consistent temperature. Cirepil®
Blue and Elva Rose are available in pastilles for
this purpose. Cirepil® Ease and Forte
should be removed when the tin is half full and replaced with
a full tin. When that tin is half full, pour the remains into
the previous half tin and replace into heater — this will
not affect the remains.

- These temperatures may vary slightly in
higher, cooler elevations.
- Check waxing room for air flow.
- Consider putting heater on a timer to allow
heating to occur quicker and easier.
- Wax doesn’t remove all the hair. If
the area is not sensitive, it may be repeated once only. Pressure
on application may not have been sufficient. A person with
excessive hair may have unseen layers of hair, and the second
layer appears after first layer is removed. The hair may also
be too long. If this is the case, the hair needs to be trimmed
before waxing to ensure that all the hair is removed.
- Client fears hair regrowth thicker and
darker. Not possible… this is an old wives’ tale.
Over time with frequent waxing, hair regrowth weakens and comes
in finer and thinner. Good frequency and diligence are required
to achieve results. If hair darkens and grows in thicker,
it is a function of hormones, not waxing.
- Client complains of water bumps or pustules
after waxing (“it made me break out”). This is normal,
particularly after the client’s first two or three times,
due to unknown trauma to the sebaceous gland. It is recommended
that the client returns as soon as possible to be waxed again
(between three and four times) as this will subside with time.
Other reasons may be related to overheating wax or improper
removal.
- Ingrown hairs may result from four problems:
- Genetics – Some clients
are prone to ingrown hairs due to their genetic make up. The
esthetician/technician should be consulted in regards to the
best follow-up care for their client. This may include some
type of exfoliation treatment.
- Esthetician/Technician
– The esthetician/technician must be careful to remove the
wax in the opposite direction of the hair growth while pulling
the strip very close to the skin surface. If the strip is
removed in an incorrect direction, or is pulled up instead of
close to the skin, the client’s hair may be more prone to
ingrown problems.
- Client Error – The client
must avoid tight clothing after waxing, especially in the waxed
areas. Tight clothing may result in irritation and ingrown
hairs. The client should, after 24-48 hours, use some type
of exfoliating product to keep dead skin build up from accumulating
in the areas that tend to become ingrown, i.e. bikini, upper
thighs, underarms, back of neck, calves, etc.
- Weakened Hair – As the
client continues with waxing, the hair will begin to weaken
and thin. This may produce a temporary tendency to ingrown
hairs. The client should continue to use their exfoliating
products and procedures as recommended by their esthetician/technician.
Contra-Indications (when not to wax):
Do not use on
clients…
- Using Retin-A™, Renova, Accutane or any
other questionable medications or skin thinning substance such
as excessive AHA’s (glycolic), etc.
- With any systemic disease such as cancer
(risk of infection), diabetes (very prone to bruising), Herpes
Simplex (cold sores), etc.
- With vascular problems such as Couperose
of the face, varicose veins or phlebitis.
- With open wounds, infection, inflammation
or hypersensitivity.
- When in doubt, don’t wax.
After waxing, advise client to AVOID:
- Sun for 24 hours or use of tanning beds.
- Make-up, if face was waxed.
- Hot water, saunas.
- Deodorant with aluminum.
- Salt glow / stimulating body or facial treatments.
- Chlorinated water.
- Tight clothing for legs and bikini.
- Pre-test Cirepil®
Waxes prior to applications.
- Apply Cirepil®
Blue Lotion to thoroughly cleanse the area to be waxed.
- Apply a small amount of Cirepil®
Pre-Depilatory Oil to areas to be waxed, and remove excess with
tissue or towel. If area is particularly moist or perspiring,
apply a small amount of talc.
- Apply all waxes in the direction of
the hair growth and remove against the hair growth.
- Use the Wooden Leg Spatula, Spoon
Spatula or Small Wood Spatula for the most effective application
of Cirepil® Ease and
Forte. The application should be thin and even. Remove with
the Non-Woven Strips or the Cellophane Strips (Cirepil®
Ease only). Press and rub over the top of the strip, then
remove with a sharp pull close to the skin rather than pulling
up in the air. Keep spatula at 90° degree angle (or slightly
past) in order to spread the wax thinly. (Avoid buttering
Cirepil® Ease or Forte.)
- Use disposable Body Spatulas or Facial
Spatulas for application of Cirepil®
Blue or Cirepil® Elva Rose. Use about
the size of a pea to walnut (depending upon the area), deposit
the wax and spread with an even but FIRM touch leaving good
edges around the perimeter. The spread should be thicker than
the strip waxes. After the wax dries, lift on the edge and
remove with a quick pull closer to the skin.
- With any Cirepil®
Wax, always apply pressure to the area with your hand, keeping
the skin taut upon removal of the strip.
- After waxing, apply Cirepil®
Blue Lotion to soothe the area and finish with either the Cirepil®
Moisturizing Lotion or Cirepil®
After Waxing Gel.
